Slackware NTP server: update interval?
Hi folks!
I'm trying to set up a NTP server on my Slackware machine. In the current situation the machines on the local network all sync with an internet NTP server. The goal is to make it possible for machines on the local network to sync with the Slackware machine. So, the Slackware machine is the only one to sync with an internet NTP server.
I've already found some guides and how-to's which will definately help me with setting up the NTP server.
However, I haven't found a way to set the update interval of the Slackware machine (I want to sync the Slackware machine every 5 or 10 minutes).
Does anybody know if it is possible to set an interval?

On my ntp server machine first updates were every 60 seconds, after some time, sync rate is 1024 seconds or little more then 17 minutes.
Best thing is to leave ntpd to determine sync rate by itself.

Okay, thanks. I'll leave it the way it is.
