nvidia splashscreen

i misread the question, i thought he was asking to get rid of the splash screen rather than the fact it froze at it. try this instead

Option "NvAGP" "3"

change the number 3 to a number from 0 - 3

"0" (uses no agp support)
"1" (uses nvidia agpart only)
"2" (tries kernel agpart only)
"3" (tries kernel agp first, then nvidia agp)

Maybe try it so that it uses the nvidia agpart first, maybe that'll work. Some motherboards work better with one than the other, so.

nope, 3,2,1, same black screen 0 - is everything ok, except "no AGP support" =) all graphical things is working very slowly =)

i also have that problem with my RIVA TNT running on Slack 10, 2.4.26 kernal, i just found it much easier to just switch back to the older drivers.
