ok i used the GDM command and got this error:
-binary:error while loading shared libraries libpangoxft-1.0.so.0:cannot open shared object file:no such file or directory
tryed whereis x and it retyurned
...

Loading GUI

and starx sayd unknown command
i did ls /etc/x11, no such file or directory???????????????????????

Sounds almost as if you just did an install and didn't include X or a desktop environment.
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.

P.S. Sub_Silent you should try not to double post.Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

i did a full install with all packages on disk one and 2 the install completed.
