    image = /boot/vmlinux
    root = /dev/hdc3
    label = Gentoo
    I don't see why Flatline put /gentoo-root in the image before, since it has nothing to do with the mounpoint since the root = /dev/hdc3 sets which partition to read.

    Sorry dylunio, you're right...bad coffee maybe? Still doesn't explain the fatal error, though...and he's tried it both ways.

    That might spit out a more specific error.

    You don't need /sbin/ just lilo is enough.

    This isn't my first Linux you know

    Just first linux with dual-linux-bootting
