Hey I know this is pretty pointless, but hey. On an earlier install I would get this interesting little quote about something at logon. Though entirely pointless, I want to spend a few days here during spring break reading them. They are very interesting and fun, often hilarious! So please answer me this pointless necessity.

You're looking for fortune. It's part of bsdgames*.tgz, which is found in /slackware/y on cd1.

you can actually make it so everytime a cl is started one will come up

Ok thats cool. I got it on here now and just keep opening the shell from xwindow so I get a new one each time. I even got a nice one that says something about my hometown, Wisconsin Dells!

continually typing the command 'fortune' would have the same effect
