cannot add a printer to the cups system. lpadmin cmd fails

Hello

I try to add a printer to my Slack 10 system

I want to use cups an samba to print from some win xp stations to a printer connected to lp0 on my Slack box.

the command I issue is:

lpadmin -p rawqueue -v parallel:/dev/lp0 -E

this return an error: "... client_not_poosible"

the lpinfo -v shows no parallel device. Only serial, usb ...

Any hint?

if cups is running, try going to

http://localhost:631

that's CUPS's webserver for the web based admin of cups printers.

That's howe i added my printer on my gentoo box.
