xwindow problems
I just finished getting the 2.6.10 kernel working from the testing folder. I also downloaded the new xorg and kde and xfce from the internet. When I start xfce it crashes pretty soon after I get in. When I start kde, I get an error in x that says cannot find kdeinit check installation.
I've gotten this before, but not the xfce one before. On the xfce error, (not from xfce itself I reckon) it exits x and tells me "Could not init path element /usr/x11r6/lib/x11/fonts/cid/ removing from list ; no fonts found" (and blah blah blah about fonts a few times telling me to go to fontconfig.org and something about fonts.conf (empty) and another thing about a not correctly configured fontconfig library (stated "probably") ) Anny help on any of these problems?
