    i have problem installing game in cedega

    when i try to install a game w/ the command
    Code:
    cedega /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe  -use-pthreads no
    i get an error that says:
    Code:
    x11drv: Can't open display
    Any help is much appreciated

    WINE

    I am having the same problem in WINE. I tried to change the "config" file but it still wouldn't work.
    My New years Resolution is 1280x1024

    Did you try to install that game as yor own user or root?

    If you are logged in to X as a normal user you should try to install that game in that way.

    You "cant" play with wine.
    WineX / Cedega is "required"

    trying to install as a normal user worked. The installer comes up and it begins to install, but somewhere in the middle of installation of the game. I get an error that says something to the effect of: "can't read cd or corrupt archive". I have tried this with 3 games and have got similar errors with all of them.
