How much of a focus is there on stability in the 2.6 kernel, shouldnt they be working on that now? (maybe they are) Will slackware go to it anytime soon ...

    How much of a focus is there on stability in the 2.6 kernel, shouldnt they be working on that now? (maybe they are) Will slackware go to it anytime soon now? (I've been waiting for more complete support)

    for the genaral desktop user the 2.6 kernels should work fine (I can't comment on servers as I've nerver linux on one). I've been using 2.6.x since using slackware and never had any security/stability issues (currently using 2.6.11.6 in Slack and 2.6.11.7-1 in Arch Linux)
