login/pwd: How to start X automatically ??
I have recently moved from Mandrake to Slackware.
Personally, i think it is annoyng typing user and passwords since I'm the only user that use my desktop.
Is there a way to start X and KDE automatically when I boot Slackware ??
Sure many people have the same problem ...

You just need to change your default runlevel. Slack starts at 3, if you change if you change that to runlevel 4 you will go to straight to the graphical login. Be warned though, this way you won't get anymore nifty little quotes
