Would Slackware run on Cyrix MI-300?
Hi,
I am thinking of buying a computer which has the following:
Cyrix MII-300 (225MHz)
32MB RAM
7.9 GB HDD
I was just wondering whether or not this computer would be able to run Slackware (CLI only, no GUI) well enough to be able to run Vim.
Thanks in Advance

I don't see you having roblems if you just want to run Vim, though you might want to check out VectorLinux wich is based on slackware, but runs well on older computers.

The only reason you might have problems is running X, it can be quite
