My system comes up but /dev/hda2 where home is does not come up
and I cannot run fsck. It say it cannot find it . Please help.

My system comes up but /dev/hda2 where home is does not come up
and I cannot run fsck. It say it cannot find it . Please help.
It also says could be bad super block.

Can you please post your /etc/fstab file so we can have a look?

/home not mounted
my fstab:
/dev/hda8 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
/dev/hda2 /usr reiserfs defaults 1 2
/dev/hda3 /home reiserfs default 1 2
/dev/hda5 /var reiserfs default 1 2
/dev/hda6 /backup reiserfs default 1 2
/dev/hda7 /tmp reiserfs default 1 2
everything mount except for /dev/hda3 /home
