    No Sound

I think I'm in the right board for this.

I have no sound, I was playing doom and tried to use XMMS but I didn't hear anything. I've been using Slackware for about a week or two but only recently did i start to understand how to use it and the basics of running programms.

so if anyone could help me with this problem, i would be very thankful!

try to run the following in the terminal:
    Code:
    alsaconf
and it should give an interface to configure alsa (the linux sound server), and then you can play with the mixers with
    Code:
    alsamixer
