    After Installing aLinux 12.5 / NO BOOT!!

    Hello...

    aLinux is built on Slackware.

    So, I am wondering... after installing the OS... I never once saw anything
    asking me where to install Lilo or Grub bootloader.

    Can anyone assist me in getting aLinux to boot from the hard drive?

    Don't know if you got this worked out or not!

    You can just get one of the live CDs or rescue disks. Then just boot through it and install grub manually. I'm not sure about the procedure, so you'll want to check the documentation, but I think it's something like this:
    Code:
    # grub

grub> root (hd0,1)
grub> setup (hd0,1)
grub> quit
    EDIT: Messed up on the drive names under grub. Under grub it's hd0 for hda and
