    the vmlinuz files are kernels, you might need to use mkinitrd to make some initrd files, or you might not need them.

    I tried both kernel-like things, and got this:

    kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k block-major-34, errno = 2
    VFS: cannot open root device "" or 22:01
    Please append a correct "root=" boot option
    Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mountroot fs on 22:01
