Did you try this command to create your new user.
Code:useradd -m username

that didnt work it didnt even make and account, but i did find out that there was a graphical thing and that work, but i would like 2 know how 2 do it in command line if anyone has any other ideas

Strange, it worked on my Slackware install.
I logged in as root, did "useradd -m wizard3"
did "passwd wizard3"
exited root, logged on as wizard3, did "startx".
I don't understand why that wouldn't work on your machine.How to know if you are a geek.
