I already downloaded it (only disk 1 cause that's all I use). I haven't burned it yet cause I can't get cdrecord to work with kernel 2.6.x in Debian. When I get home, the first I'll do is get on and burn that thing and reinstall.

I also have no internet under Slackware because I haven't been able configure my wireless adapter properly, so that's why I was trying under Debian.

Disk 2 has GNOME and KDE packages. Disk 3 and 4 are sources for all the packages. This is all covered in the Slack Book, and in the installation instructions in the Slackware website.

I have my 10.2 working so well with the 2.6.12 kernel I'm afraid to upgrade. I tried upgrading from 10.0 to 10.1 and wound up with a lot of broken packages. I had to do a fresh install of 10.1.

    Maybe I'll just wait...

There's a feeling with Slackware you just don't get with other distros. It is my very favourite of all I've tried and use.

Downloaded it from kernel.org and compiled it.

Nope they don't. The whole point of a new kernel is you compile it yourself.
