Dual Booting
I have a laptop (a Compaq Presario 2100 - 2.4 Ghz CPU, 40 GB HD, CD/DVD ROM drive, ATI Radeon IGP 340M graphics card, 192 [don't ask] RAM) and I want to dual boot Slackware and Windows on it. I'm having a problem though... I already have the disk partitioned off and everything, but I can't get it to boot right once installed. It works fine when I install other distros (such as PHLAK or Debian), but then when I go through the install, both when I do and do not install LILO(for the do not install time, I already had GRUB on MBR - it didn't boot, just gave an error), it won't work. I'm fairly Linux-savvy, but this has me confused. Any help?

Post the contents of /etc/fstab, and the contents of your lilo (or grub if you've changed) configuration files.

Nevermind, thanks. I did some toying about with it and installed LILO on MBR instead of root partition, and did some tweaking, and it worked... I was hesitant to do it, because from what I've been told, LILO is unsafe to store on MBR, but it worked for me, so... *shrug* Thanks anyway.
