Transfer to slackware file and print server
Hi guys,
I am a fairly experienced Windows user but am new to linux. I have a windows XP prof. file and print server running at the moment and wish to transfer the drives to a slackware system and use this instead. I was wondering if there might be any initial stumbling blocks I should take into consideration...as it will not be possible for me to back up all my files.
I was considering running slackware 10.2 on a 10gb drive and then mounting my other drives to be available using samba.
*edit - forgot to mention that all the other drives currently in the windows server are ntfs... have heard that this poses a problem is this true?
Thanks,
Gavin.
