    why no xinetd?


    I've read that inet is not very secure. and that xinetd is an "upgrade". why does slack ware not come with it? better yet should I install xinetd on my slackware 10.2?

    One moment...

    I think that if you want to use it, you either have to download it, or you have to use inetd. My best advice is to use inetd right now, and see if you can get xinetd from the internet.
