If you're getting a "Permission denied" -error message the problem is the permissions of either the device but probably the mountpoint.
If the only thing you get is a warning ...

If you're getting a "Permission denied" -error message the problem is the permissions of either the device but probably the mountpoint.
If the only thing you get is a warning about the filesystem being mounted as read only this is normal because CD's are read-only unless you want to bun to them. If you only get the warning the drive should be mounted successfully.

well i fixed it. i looked in my lilo.conf file, prayed to everything i find holy and started tinkering around. i passed some new parameters or however you want to look at it and i got it to work.
