can I install gnome on slackware

Sure you can. Most purest like Freerock Gnome. A lot of Slack users have a problem with it, but I like Dropline Gnome. It has never given me any problems.

Gnome doesn't come on slack discs anymore. If you want gnome on 10.2, check out dropline or freerock gnome. I have used freerock myself and it is extremely simply to install.
