Upgrading to KDE3.5
Hey all,
I'm downloading KDE3.5 slackware .tgz's from one of the UK mirrors. Once I have them should the upgrade process be as easy as "upgradepkg *.tgz"? Also I'm presuming I need to drop to the CLI and "init 2" first?
Any other pointers would be great!Registered Linux user #389109

yes, do it in init 3 not 4 though out of X.
cd to the directory you have the new 3.5 pkg's and as root type
upgrade *.tgz
then login back to X
