Problem installing Slackware 10.2
I installed the first 2 cds, then it told me to reboot using CTRL+ALT+DEL, so I did, it rebooted, then it brought up Login: and Password:, I put root and my root password, then it said I had mail and brought up a terminal. What do I do to get into slackware or continue the installation with disk 3??

I can't even get into the GUI though, it's just in the text mode when it boots, and when I enter startx it does not boot properly.

Have you read the Slackbook? It will definately get you going with GUI and what not. Slackware doesn't come with GUI configured out-of-the-box, so you have to do all the configuration yourself. To solve your problem, look in the X Configuration chapter. You might want to check out the other chapters for internet connection, start-up, and what-not also.

oops... sorry, I just answered this one in another thread. I didn't know you had two threads going about it.
