i was wondering if anyone knew the command or the process i go about on installing hardware to slackware linux 10.2 any suggestions? any help will greatly be appreciated thanks in advance

You're going to have to be more specific than that! First of all, what hardware are you trying to install? And be VERY, VERY detailed.

most of the time you eather remove a # from /etc/rc.d/rc.modules
or add a line with modprobe something something
this works for most things that get pluged into the mo bo
and some times you don't even need to do that the
system handles a lot of things by itself
like usb and pcmcia and alot of ethernet cards
so tell us what you don't have working so we can help you
