    boot your linux in console only (run level 3)
    login as user (you can do this for root later if it works)

    simply rename the directory
    #mv /home/your_user/.kde /home/your_user/.kde_old

    and start x
    #startx

    i tried but i cannot force it since i cannot see anything...
    i loaded the incooded ati radeon driver/works not smoothly/, and am able to startx , but still dont see anything when i'm booting...

    I've after checking my kernel conf for the 5th time i saw that i havet check one ati driver for my console Now it works, but i my graphic card still doesnt work as normol, because when i test it to a screen server whit an OpenGL it doesnt run smoothly. I have installed ati-installer, latest and configured it but still nothing.
    Ihave Ati Radeaon 9550 128MB, kernel 2.6.16.1, KDE3.4.2....
    Any suggestions?
