    new user...

    Hello,
I'm a new slackware user and I would like to know how to start the KDE desktop from the bash prompt. I have a bash prompt, good there, but how do I start the desktop??

'startkde' - if that doesn't do it, 'kde'...

why would you ever need to?

just use 'xwmconfig' to choose your window manager and then whenever you 'startx' the chosen WM will run.
