    You have to open it with a text editor.
    As root do

    nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    Scroll down to where you need to make the change.
    You can delete a line by backspacing through it.
    Then you can put what you need in there.
    Then hit
    Ctrl + ESC
    Then answer Y to the questions.

    thank you very much for that last post.but nano doesn't work on mine. i used sudo -e. but i don't know how to save it once im done. ctrl-esc doesn't work.
