You can use the usermod command to add/remove group privelages. If there are files you need to grant access to you can add user/group permissions to them directly using chmod. Check the man pages -Code:
man usermod man chmod

what does this mean
"smbmnt must be installed suid root for direct user mounts (1000,1000)"
i gave smbmnt chmod a+rwx but it doesn't work...
what can i do to mount shares from current user, not to login as root?
