so all those options in xorg with # signs before them are just preloaded options to make setup not such a pain? and when the xorg.conf file is read "options" is a recognized command followed by vaiables? .........dont mean to veer of course. I,ll post back here i a day or so about whether or not i get my mouse working-i'de do it now but i think i screwed up my partions, cuz linux wont boot, sayin some files are missing(i installed windows for a dual boot and did my linux partitions but then forgot to write them and typed setup,got error message then checked p and had some wierd partition. started fresh but then noticed in kde that /dev/hda8 was identical to hda1-my windows partion.) i'm just gonna reinstall after my new sata hard drive and widescreen lcd arrive
