errror messages - deciphering adjusting
I found a potential solution to an Inkscape run problem, but I need to be sure of the absolute paths of items in an error message (I need to create a symlink).
the error message outputs something like
What do the two dots mean ? (parent directory of directory where command was executed, a linux convention for continuity points (...) or something else?
Is there a way to make error messages output to screen in a more complete way? This happens when I execute the command inkscape. So no options like -v (verbose) are available as when tar is used.
I use slackware 10.2 (with pieces of other slackware editions to make things work). Celeron 850 Mhz. 128M ram.
I'm doing all this in console mode until the errors are gone, then I'll go to X11. (but the same error messages appear in X11 xorg).
