Question of oddity, Package Management
SMART Package manager...

It handles .tgz ... but can it be installed to Slackware 10.2 or any Slackware at all?
I get that error after installing it, and trying to run, and it's pretty much the same when ran as a user... just shorter.Code:root@aeolus:~/smart# smart Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/smart", line 27, in ? from smart import init, initDistro, initPlugins, initPsyco File "/usr/bin/smart.py", line 27, in ? ImportError: cannot import name init root@aeolus:~/smart#
Any ideas? I have tried slapt-get, but it's no-where near as good as apt-get itself... and not as powerful as I've seen SMART can be.

It can be used in slackware.
You can also try swaret.
Why you want to use it for tgz packages?
