    NIC card

    Hey

    I read the newbie thread and couldnt find an answer.

    Im trying to get my pc on the net. I have installed slack 11 which was an upgrade from fc6. I cant seem to get anything working.

    The card is an intel pro/100ve and it is in a dell dimension. Slackware cant detect the card and not to sure what my next steps should be?

    Not sure how you are determining that nic is not detected.

    What do you get with:
    dmesg | grep eth
    What do you get with:
    ifconfig -a
    ron
    registered Linux user #388382

    Have you checked here first?
