k, I searched around the net and have found a few ways to do this but I don't want to start installing packages that wont work or do it the wrong way. I want to know how to go about this so I don't screw anything up.

How can I get simple MIDI playback in slackware? my sound card is configured correctly to the best of my knowledge and all other sound works.
