    Edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf - Input Device Mouse

    Change to: Option "PROTOCOL" "IMPS/2"
    Add: Option "Buttons" "5"
    Add: Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
    registered Linux user #388382

    Have you checked here first?
