I can't find any drivers for my webcam(A4Tech PK-935).
Is there anyone, who use such a camera?
And .. is there any connection between kernel and webcam, cause ...

Problem with installing webcam
Hi there

I can't find any drivers for my webcam(A4Tech PK-935).
Is there anyone, who use such a camera?
And .. is there any connection between kernel and webcam, cause some people tells me, that my kernel is too lod (2.4.33.3) and i have to upgrade him.

Its rather easy to upgrade your kernel with Slackware. Just put the second CD in your drive and mount it (mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom) and the cd into the extra directory. There you will find the 2.6.17.13 Kernel. There is a README.initrd text file that walks you though the whole ordeal. Basically you'll want to "installpkg nameofkernelpackage.tgz" I always install the kernel package and the modules and source. You'll need the source for things like the Nvidia driver and such. I think you'll have better luck with the 2.6.x series kernel with your web cam. Just make sure and read the README.initrd.
