Is there any way to install my 23in1 card reader on my slack 11(kernel 2.6.17.13) and what i have to do

Is it connected via USB, PCI, PCMCIA, or built into a laptop?
If it's USB, then the easiest thing is to install udev and HAL, and if you're running KDE or Gnome, any card you insert should be auto-detected.Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!
