I recently decided to go away from my old Dell laptop and rebuild my tower for my home linux machine. I really did not want to buy another wireless card, so I bough a PCI PCMCIA adapter card.

The problem I am having is that the card doesn't seem to be recognized by linux at all. I have recomplied the Kernel for PCMCIA support, but the wireless card doesn't even look like its getting any power.

I am using Slackware 11 Kernel version 2.6.18.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
