    I agree. I have been searching forums for lynksys information and nothing seems to be directed at slackware. Thanks for the help with the storage problem.

    Also I figured out that in kde's control center, under peripherals there is a notification manager. So I can set it to open a window when I plug in the USB storage device. But...It doesnt work Oh well.
