    Unhappy Downloading Mplayer

I tried to listen to an online radio station but was informed I needed to download Mplayer. I went to the Mplayer site, but I have no CLUE how to download it. I'm used to Windows 98 and only have slackware because it was the only comp my linux crazed Dad had for me. So far I've been getting by doing the basic stuff but I'd like to learn a little more so I can do the stuff I used to enjoy doing on my old computer.
Unfortunately trying to download the Mplayer was too confusing and I don't want to do anything stupid.

What is the simplest way to download the player? Do I have to download more than one thing? What is a package? A codec? If I download more than one thing how do I open them and get them to work? Does anybody have one simple file I can just download and then open?

Slackware is for geniuses and I'm not a genius =P.

go to that first page I linked to and choose for your version of slackware. If you are using 11.0, click on details on the first one in the table. This will take you to a new page. On the right click next to download either http or ftp (it doesn't matter which). You will then choose the location closest to you. This should download it. Then follow the steps on the other link for how to install it.
