Why u just type this command in terminal ...??? Why u don't use the icon of this program ...???

You're su'd into the root account right? trying to run this?
I doubt you have the correct X environment variables setup.
I just use command line cdrecord.

I'm a newbie my knowledge is limited, I haven't got the slightest idea of how to reslolve this or us cdrecord. Does that record data cd's?
