Reinstalling Slackware - What package manager
Although Mandrake 10 does it's job well I still get the itch for a more 'basic' distro so I'm gonna reinstall Slackware tonight on me spare partition.
Question is what package management system to use? So many to choose from.

I would say install first Slackware 8.1 or something more recent (not more older though), then install emerde and then install swaret and update through that. I have a feeling that emerde doesn't always recognizes what is installed, but it does it when you install new stuff with slackpack's so that should make it work even better (does have some glitches)...
Good luck

What is that I see you have listed? Why that KDE!
I understood you are a die hard Gome only user. Good to see that you have become a more versatile user now. Hot dog, now I can ask you, has mandrake 10 corrected the screensaver problem in KDE, that was in the Mandrake 9 series had?
Thanks
