what steps should i follow to install slackware without coruupting windows partitions?
i need some commands to format partitions the rest i can do myself please help...

If you aren't comfortable doing them from within the Slackware installation routine, you can use the Gparted LiveCD to create any partitions before installing Slack:
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
It's a Partition Magic clone, so it's pretty easy to use and there are instructions for using it on their website.oz

thank you for response.' used gparted and installed linux finally
but i have another problem now.how can i read japanese characters in linux
