Slackware 11.0 slow on Aspire 5620
I've some problem at instalation process and post instalaton for Slackware 11.0 on Acer Aspire 5620. Installation process running slowly at :
- mkswap with bad block checking
- formating partition with bad block checking, i use ext3 fs
- installation package
While those process running, i checked procecor usage on terminal 2 by "ps -auxww" command and the result was 99% procecor usage for "ps -auxww". (i really don't understand). I choosed bareacpi.i kernel for installation.
And when slackware running, i do some command like copying file from flash disk or CD/DVD rom to harddisk, the process running slowly (very slow).
I check for my hardisk dma by using hdparm, the result dma access is '0', and i can't activated the dma access.
My machine specification is:
- Intel core duo T2300
- ATI Radeon X1300
- Harddisk PATA 60 GB's
- 1 GB's Ram
