What is this message trying to tell me and how do I correct it?
A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member "Mount" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.Hal")

when does this message pop up? during mounting any partition, flash disk or accessing anything at remote machine?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Gave up for now and jumped into "Ubuntu Gusty", Already have "Debian lenny" working well on other partition.
I'll give it a go another time. Thanks for the help you've given me on this and other subjects, It is very kind of you.
