I didn't got the cube effect.
There are lots of dependencies to be installed in slackware before I can test compiz and make it work.
I have a guide to install in ubuntu/fedora and its so simple in those distributions.

There is guide for ubuntu in this site as well.
They even modify xorg.conf on their own.
But at the end I will settle with slackware
