Slackware install problem
Here is the problem:
I have installed both linux and windows before, now i can only install windows.
I uninstalled windows. i have 40 GB of free space.
when i try and access /dev/hda, it cannot read it.
i have used huge26.s, test26.s, and other kernels with and without acpi=off
i have tried other linux distros with no avail
any suggestions?

I had problems like this before that were solved by using the GParted Live CD. If you haven't tried it yet, it's worth a shot.
You can even format it as ext2 or 3 with GParted I believe.

Actually dont worry about it now it wont install windows... heh.
Oh well i might be able to get a hard drive from a relative...
