Can't detect cdrom with Zenwalk install

I just tried to install Zenwalk 1.2. I'm booting a CD from a bootable CD drive but during the installation, it stopped recognising my CD drive and so couldn’t read the source data. I'd set the other information (partitions, keyboard etc) already but obviously I can't link to the source data (the CD) if it won't recognise / autodetect my drive. where would it be mounted ? Am I missing something? Why would it do that? Thanks.

Have you checked the Zenwalk forum itself? www.slackplanet.org. You can find some explanations there on what to do if stuff like this happens.
