DHCP problems on slax livecd using forcedeth
Hello. I'm using a SLAX LiveCD, and it boots up regularly (to my understanding). I can also get my ethernet device (eth0, forcedeth nForce driver) to be detected and showup in the ifconfig. However, when I try to lynx to www.google.com, or ping it, or any other host, no luck. Also, dhcpcd eth0 does not work, either.
Is there any common solution to this? I've heard to just switch network cards, but since there was a driver detected and initialzed for my card, I know there has to be a way to use it. DHCP autoconfiguration works easily on my windows computer, but never on any *nix (freebsd, gentoo, and now slax). Any help on this would be appreciated.
