DMA disabled on HDD?
Hey guys! I'm new to linux and I just installed slackware 10.2. I still have alot to set up but first I want to get a big problem out of the way. When I boot into slackware it tells me that dma is disabled on my hdd. I checked my bios to see if there might be a setting related to it but I don't see anything even relatively close. I'm using a toshiba Satellite m70. All the specs are here should you need to see them.
Thanks alot for any help you might provide :D
Maybe this can help you...
READ MANUAL FIRST!
Then, Try this command (this was for my HDD)
hdparm -d1 -X udma2 -u1 -k1 -c1 /dev/hda
Tell me if it worked.
